Ion Cannon

The Ion Cannon was first developed in 2034. This weapon fires as a straight beam of ions. Due to its size it is considered a superweapon. The USP currently holds three in stock. The effects of this weapon can be devastating in multiple ways. The force of a 3 second constant beam from an ion cannon could obliterate a major city. a 0.2 second blast would create enough force to shut down all electronical devices and anything that runs on electrical impulses. We have not had to use this weapon in the brief history of the USP, however would not be hesitant to use it. The general idea of particle-beam weaponry is to hit a target object with a stream of accelerated particles moving at near the speed of light and therefore carrying tremendous kinetic energy ; the particles transfer their kinetic energy to the atoms in the molecules of the target upon striking, thus exciting the target's atoms and superheating the target object in a short time, leading to explosion either of the surface layer or the interior of the target. Very dangerous and very expensive to create. One ion cannon costs about 3 trillion dollars.

August 16th 2077 - The Ion Canon was used for the first time in the Iconian-Alterran War. It was used in Atlantis, Denland and incinerated 300 Iconian Soldiers, 20 Patriot Soldiers, and 26 Cyrodian Marines.

Plasma Rifle

The 89X Plasma Rifle was invented in a labrotory in Washington in 2066. Plasma rifles use a small nuclear reactor or fuel cell to power an electromagnetic accelerator that fires a stream, or pulse of Plasma. it typically causes serious burns, and often immediate death, on living creatures, and melts or evaporates other materials. Pasma weapons may also have a significant kinetic energy component, that is to say the ionized material is projected with sufficient momentum to cause some secondary impact damage in addition to causing high thermal damage. The Patriot Protection Agency and the Patriot Star Ship Commanders currently have these weapons. Plasma Rifles are a soldiers best friend. You can always hear one when it fires there's always the "ZZZZZZZ" sound.

R1A1

The R1A1 is a militaristic style robot invented in 2075. It was first used in January 2077 during Operation Under Seige where it performed beautifully. R1A1 stands for Robotic Ver. 1 Android Ver. 1. It is equipped with heat sensors, electromagnetic vision and realtime camera vision that can be seen from the deployment truck. Each android is equipped with Displacement Packs and with a .45 caliber mini-gun attached to it's wrists. It is made of 2 inches of dense alloy. It has the brain capacity to make some decisions. For example it can identify and make a decision on most dangerous target. It can also detect explosives, distinguish between hostage, civilian, or other from a hostile. It also can shoot out electromagnetic pulses from it's irises which can be beneficial when dealing with hostiles that wield more modern technology.

The Military plans to use this overseas in future warfare. In September 2077, the President did not deploy these robots in the Iconian-Alterran War siteing, "I am not prepared to deploy these robots in a conflict that does not directly involve us. I do not trust that it can successfully distinguish. However, they will be ready for full usage by 2078." The R1A1 is set to be used for full miltary usage by January 2078.
