Jack Dempsey
Jack Dempsey grew up in upstate New York. He was born on March 7th, 1986. He has one brother and one sister that are older. He is 6'1" and weighs a little over 200 lbs. He is very athletic and has a passion for science fiction. His early childhood was one that he does not like to talk about. His father was abusive, and addicted to drugs. His mother was stressed out constantly working 3 jobs to put food on the table for him and his two siblings. His passion for science fiction stemmed from watching Star Wars for the first time when he was 8. Ever since he loved it. Vampires, Werewolves, UFO's, Zombies, you name it he loved it.
He got decent to pretty good grades throughout middle and high school. He stayed at a constant A- average. He played football, which was his sanctuary. He has a poster of John Elway and Brett Favre in his room still to this very day. He was the starting wide receiver, and he came to within 30 yds of the state record for most yards all-time. He also ran track and field in the spring to keep himself in shape. He put up respectable numbers. He went to Syracuse University for a semester and then transferred to the Army where he shined the brightest. His friends Tony, Guy and his cousin Mark all enlisted in the Army as well.
He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2001 after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He was a member of the Afghanistan mission Operation Enduring Freedom. He and Tony were stationed together and both received a few medals for their bravery. It was very rare for privates to obtain medals but their heroics did give them justice. Jack became fond of a Desert Eagle he obtained in his hometown. The Army let him, after inspection, use it on the battlefield. It saved his life. He had been shot in the leg and he pulled out the DE and shot two tangos in the head with it when his M1A1 jammed. He never goes anywhere without it now.
His personal life has been non existent ever since the war in Iraq heated up in the mid 2000s. He had a few sporadic girlfriends every now and then, but never a long term relationship. He blames that on his father's genes. He's never trusted the Government or anything to do with law. He's been told many things about the Government that the common citizen doesn't want to know. He is up in Aspen because all three of his friends and himself are on 6 months leave, probably because they couldn't handle them, and they decided to go skiing to blow off some steam. He didn't realize what was on the horizon and that he would meet some new friends and learn about survival...
