North American Land Treaty of 2087 (No Longer Active, But Still a Vital Part of Nations History)
The following treaty lays the official claims to territory of North America. All of the claims in this treaty are offical and are to be recognized by all presidents, rulers, kings, despots on Earth or any other planet. Any other claims of land are not allowed and are therfore not recognized. Each of these land claims can be subject to change at the will of the owner of said land. This treaty does NOT discuss land claims in any other continent on planet Earth or any other planet. This following treaty is to be signed by all nations that own claims in North America.
Section I - The territories in this treaty are NOT disputable. This treaty that culminated from the North American Land Claim Conference has been deliberated over for days and is not by any means negotiable. This however does NOT forbid the independent sale of land that one nation may own. This treaty does not recognize any other claims of territory. Any other claims should be brought up to the North American Council and will be deal with.
Section II - With this treaty comes the formation of a North American Council. This council will be a group of leaders that currently hold territory in North America and will be chosen based on seniority and RP participation. The Council will be made up of 6 members and no one member has more power over another.
The Council has the right to:
1. reject any independent land sale by 2/3 vote.
2. to strip any nation of their land holdings in North America by force by 2/3 vote and turn it into a demilitarized zone.
3. acknowledge new claims by 2/3 vote.
4. to strip any nation of their land holdings in North America based on inactivity (unless otherwise notified) by 2/3 vote and turn it into a demilitarized zone.
5. to acknowledge war over reasons not associated with land holdings.
6. Amend this Treaty by 2/3 vote.
If a member of the North American Council commits acts that lead to the repossession of their land their spot on the Council will be vacated and replaced.
Section III - These are unapproved actions which can lead to the repossession of your territory or at the least probation
1. Unprovoked war with a fellow nation that owns land in North America (unless otherwise approved by the Council).
2. Independent sale of land not acknowledged by the Council.
3. The conquering of another nation who has territory in North America to gain territory.
Section IV - These are the official land holdings of every region in North America. These are once again NOT DESPUTABLE.
